The Board of Missions shall
consist of five members. Their responsibilities are as follows:
- They shall envision all options and
manage all matters of local mission.
- Make recommendations and budget
requests concerning appropriate levels of mission support for all matters outside of our
local area, i.e., OCWM, UCC special offerings, individual missionaries and ecumenical
groups concerned with regional, national and world issues.
- Be responsible for maintaining a
program of social awareness and action, seeking to involve the people of the church in
areas of Christian concern and effective action regarding the problems of the local
community and society in general.
- Prepare a budget request for the
upcoming Program year to be delivered to the Board of Trustees no later than August 1st of
each year.
