The Board of Christian Education shall consist of 10 members and:

1. Create and maintain a program of Christian Education for persons of all ages within the church, always working in close cooperation with the Minister.

2. Define goals and objectives for Christian Education, specifically: the church school, adult education, confirmation and the youth program, and review/evaluate their implementation.

3. Submit a yearly budget request to the Board of Trustees by August 1st.

4. Recruit and arrange for the guidance, training, encouragement and appreciation of the necessary personnel to staff and operate effective Christian education programs. They are authorized to engage professional assistance as needed and as funded in the budget. They shall recruit adult advisors and work closely with them and the Minister to create well balanced programs of religious, social and recreational activities suited to the needs of both middle school and senior high young people.

5. Select a curriculum(s) and keep up on trends in curriculum development.

6. Select a Church School Superintendent during the first meeting of each Program Year. This person shall coordinate all church school activities under the direction of the Board of Christian Education. The work of the Superintendent shall be assisted by the members of the Board and/or others at the discretion of the Board.

7. Be responsible for child care while church school is in session and for developing a Child Care Policy for the church.

8. The Board is encouraged to establish and maintain a library in the Church to encourage children, youth and adults to become better informed about themselves, their problems, urgent issues, the Bible and the Christian faith and to provide resources such as audio, video, computer and print material for use by the Church family.
